Prime Tanning - St. Joseph, Mo.
The largest blueing factory in the U.S., Prime St. Joseph produces
over 2 million feet of wet blue per week. Hides leave the St. Joseph
facility ready for dying and processing. This facility supplies all
the leather that is finished at Prime's plant in Maine as well as
other tanneries around the world.
This facility was recently awarded ISO-14001 Certification recognizing
Prime's efforts in managing and operating the facility in a manner
that minimizes effect on the environment.
